Alone at night, the adventurer finds himself journeying through the dangerous landscape. But for all the dangers around them, they feel safe. Looking up, they gasp in amazement as the night sky is filled with a kind face familiar to all who live in this universe; The face of QT, the great creator. The god is gazing down in adoration, as though he had just noticed the little wanderer as they explored the creation he made, and had become smitten with adoration. Though his size is unfathomable to the adventurer, his watchful gaze fills them with inner peace and carries with it a promise that he will keep them safe wherever they go for the rest of their journey.

This is a little personal project I did to showcase QT, my universe's creator god^^ He was once a mortal. But he was eventually able to convince the gods to let him become one of them. He now governs a multiverse of universes that he's created, and he makes it his mission to ensure that the mortals in his care live happy and fulfilled lives^^ To him, power is nothing but a tool to be used in order to help the powerless.

So, I've tested the #Huion Kamvas Pro 19 on four systems today..

1. Fedora KDE
2. #PopOS Cosmic
3. #Ubuntu Gnome
4. Windows 10

The system that gave me the least trouble was **Fedora KDE**. I don't know is it the #Fedora part or #KDE part, but touch and pen just work as you'd expect on Krita.

PopOS and Ubuntu (Gnome) had somehow locked that all touch and pen inputs got transferred to the main display device, which is really not what you want with a pen display.

Windows 10, with the latest drivers, got the pen part right, but touch got transferred to the main display. At this point I thought changing the Huion as my main display, and Krita got working somewhat, but not a great solution. There was no pressure sensitivity yet, but it might just be a matter of resetting.

#Blender does not register touch inputs on any of the four systems, which makes me suspect it requires some very specific setups... (they should have a peek at how #Krita does it)

Friends are discussing colours again and apparently my "opinion" of "There's exactly 16,777,216 colours just pick one and display it" is NOT acceptable.

Driving myself crazy trying to remember the name of a social media reader project. Things I (think I) remember about it:

1. Conceptually, it was basically an RSS reader but had the ability to aggregate social media sites that didn't use RSS.

2. It ran as a browser plugin, not a standalone app or website.

3. It had a very "a trans catgirl wrote this" name and aesthetic, that did not make it obvious what the project actually was. Think like "pink robot kitten explosion" except, like. Not that, obviously.

4. I've seen the engine (?) of it repackaged as a plugin/extension for other feed reader apps.

And yes I am aware the above sounds like a fever dream but I
swear to gods this was (is?) real and did (does?) exist and, fedi, if there's one place on the internet that may be able to remember this for me wholesale, I believe it to be you. Halp?

Edit: Found it! Knew you'd come through, fedi!
