Album one called #One done on my #TesseracT #Metaljourney and I can't help but thinking about what I wrote when I first listened to their latest album last year:
"Do I really like #ProgMetal as much as I always thought?"
I didn't mind listening to the album and it had its moments, but nothing really clicked yet.
The #GrowerOrBlower metre has not yet deflected in any direction.
One gets a 3 out of 5 - solid, I might listen to it again.

I made an exception and listened to #AlteredState again before moving on, just because some of you really like this album.
Nothing changed though, it is nice to listen to, but not more.

After 3 albums the #GrowerOrBlower (copyright @trendskater ) meter indicates "Blower", but maybe that changes now?
Four albums in and it is safe to say: I won't become a TesseracT fan.
This album in particular sounds like movie trailer score with all its breakdowns, silent parts and so on. And after 4 albums everything repeats itself, and what I liked on the first to albums started to annoy me.
2 out of 5, there were some highlights, but overall not my thing.

Sacrifice closes War Of Being and my #TesseracT #Metaljourney
And sacrifices have been made. Don't get me wrong, there are some great moments on all their albums, but their overall style is something I don't really like.
I did my best, it didn't change. As harsh as it sounds but #GrowerOrBlower? Blower. Sorry.

@yourfutureex I don't know the whole Djent scene enough for a qualified statement on that.
I have no idea if they are overrated, lots of poeple with good taste in music seem to like them.
Yes, I admit, I found them boring and doing the same stuff over and over again. But people say that about Slayer and AC/DC too and I love both of them.

You can find the list of the ones I already did pinned to my profile. I don't really have any criteria for choosing, but they should have at least 5 albums out.
So I think if you havenāt deep dived into King Diamond, that could be an interesting choice.
His catalog is a bit more uneven in my opinion, but there are some spooky delights in there.
And fun fact, his original drummer was none other than Mikkey Dee of Motƶrhead fame.
