At some point we have to talk about how Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were executed for far less than what Trump and his Republicans did and are still actively doing.
@Strandjunker
And that point is about 60 years from now, when no one can be held accountable.
@Strandjunker I know!! Iโ€™ve been wondering why no one has been bringing that up!

@Strandjunker

Andrea, the Rosenberg's were caught red handed (no pun) transferring technical information about atomic weapons to Russia. You might say that they have what they have as a result of what the Rosenberg's gave them,

As to their conviction, from the time that they were arrested until they were executed was about 18 months.

As to Trump, we have no proof or hard evidence about what he did. We can assume but convictions and executions are not made from assumptions.

@PerryM @Strandjunker
Those #TopSecret documents didn't just materialize in T****'s bathroom out of thin air.

And he DID instruct an ARMED mob to "fight like Hell" as he directed them towards the Capitol (then did nothing for 3-1/2 hours.)

If you don't consider any of that "proof or hard evidence", you either have a very short memory or willfully ignorant.

@PerryM @Strandjunker reality winner might have something to say about this

@gizmomathboy @Strandjunker

I understand why you would say that, but despite all of the controversy surrounding her conviction, Reality admitted to CBS 60 minutes that she released the classified information because she thought that Americans were being misled about Russia's interference in the 2016 election.

My information is not opinion and comes from:

@Strandjunker Then we also need to talk about later-Trump attorney Roy Cohn's involvement in the decision to sentence the Rosenbergs to death & Trump's takeaways from Cohn's legal assistance.
P.S.: Julius & Ethel Rosenberg spied for Stalin's USSR, but never ran for presidential office.

@Strandjunker As an aside, my uncle, Prof Tom Kaiser, was working at Cambridge on atomic physics, and was going to testify on their behalf. He was blocked from entering the USA. As an amusing aside, he later moved into astrophysics, and one of his instrument packages was being launched on a USA rocket. He applied for USA entry again, on the basis of free exchange of scientific information, and was told he would be allowed into the USA, but would not be allowed information from his satellite package while in the USA, as he was a security risk!

@Strandjunker

Reality Winner imprisoned instantly, convicted immediately and sent to prison for ONE PAGE of sensitive document that was nowhere near the high security clearance level of the hundreds of documents that trump left laying around his bathroomโ€ฆ

@Strandjunker

I've been thinking that ever since January 6th! Trump is lucky nobody is talking about execution for treason.

@Strandjunker I'm going to say the fact that we haven't executed anyone recently for espionage is a good thing.

@Strandjunker

If a leftist had done what Trump had did on January 6th, they'd already be executed, dead and buried.

@Strandjunker

;-)

you see, they were not wasps with kkkristians get out of jail card ...

@Strandjunker
Never gonna happen. We'll be lucky to see him spend one day in lockup. But I agree. I said to my wife just this morning it is too bad we can't emulate Iraq when they got SH from his spider hole.

@Strandjunker
As long as #TheOrangeMenace & his Flying Monkeys continue to make their bizarre "Potus is above the law" argument, the comparison is moot.

("Potus is above the law, but we impeached Bill Clinton for perjury, and if #Biden did ANY of the things #DarthTraitor is accused out, we'd do it again in a heartbeat.) #GOPHypocrisy #IOKIYAR

@Strandjunker I know someone who was banned from Twitter for making that argument.
@Strandjunker
BTW, in the 1980s the Soviets finally did admit that the Rosenbergs were working for them, in a documentary about the nuclear arms race, "Risk."
