@briandigital I can only observe your voting behaviour. A enormous majority is voting for democrats or republicans, both parties that would be considered conservative parties by European standards when you look at their policies.
@dgavin I agree on your categorization of the two parties. But they’ve created a stranglehold on politics so most folks take the voting strategy of “the lesser of two evils.” Voting 3rd party without Rank Choice Voting is unproductive—people don’t get to vote their full beliefs.

@gruber @cabel @stroughtonsmith It’s all about protecting the citizens. From Big Pharma (Insulin prices…), from personal tragedy (social security, universal health care, reproductive rights) or from tech giants exploiting private data or using their monopoly to keep enormous margins (DMA). Does it always work? Nope. But at least we try to protect the weakest.

@stroughtonsmith Apple TV 4K first gen gave it to my mother in law tonight. I reset the device, updated it to latest tvOS, ect. I had the device green screen, freeze and boot loop. The fuck? The remote it comes with is the problem somehow it’s fucking with the ATV. I have never had it do that before.
