I've spent a ton of time taking screenshots on the Apple Vision Pro this past week and have a lot of tips to share on how to get the best possible screenshots that are crisp, clear, and not all tilted.

Here's how to do it on @macstories: https://www.macstories.net/stories/the-best-way-to-take-screenshots-on-apple-vision-pro/

The Best Way to Take Screenshots on Apple Vision Pro

Taking good-looking screenshots on the Apple Vision Pro isn’t easy, but it’s not impossible either. I’ve already spent many hours taking screenshots on the device, and I thought I’d share my experience and some practical tips for getting the best screenshots possible. Although I’ve only had the Apple Vision Pro for a week, I’ve already

@johnvoorhees Are you saying my 45° screenshots aren’t visually pleasing??
@christianselig @johnvoorhees they’re a creative choice - let those who create express their creativity however they feel!
@johnvoorhees @macstories thanks for putting all this down!

@johnvoorhees @macstories That’s a lot of hoops to jump through just for a screenshot!

Apple should provide a more streamlined method on device without the need for Xcode or the dev strap. Surely they could just pump the resolution to full (non-foveated) for a split second for static screenshots. Maybe in visionOS 2.0 🤷‍♂️

@johnvoorhees @macstories one feature I’d love to see in the future is the ability to take screenshots in a per-app way like cmd-shift-4 + spacebar on Mac, and remove all backgrounds entirely (except for maybe the light scheme shining through)
@johnvoorhees Thank you for this. I was wondering why my screenshots don’t at all match what I’m seeing. Appreciate the tips.
