Why does it take ~15-30s for iOS and macOS devices to work out if there is an update available? Why isn’t this a trivial check against a JSON file in the CDN that takes milliseconds? Probably some signing or something but why not be optimistic first and do the slow secure part if the user starts it?

At Renault dealer getting our Zoe looked at (we got a 2020 for the kids & a 2022 for us, this is the 2020).

Me: Sometimes when it is plugged in overnight it doesn't charge at all.

Staff: Oh yes, ours do that sometimes too. 🤷‍♂️

Me (internally): WTF that is your response? The other never does this.

The thing about Palestine Action, in the UK, is as far as I can tell they did the absolutely most precision-targeted, moral action possible; property destruction against actual literal weapons of war - nobody harmed, no disruption to the general public.

No wonder the government is losing their shit and making an example of them.
