A slight hiccup on the journey home: my Eurostar from Brussels to London has been delayed by 25 minutes. Seems I'll miss my connection to Bristol at Paddington. Hoping for a bit of traveller's luck that I'll be accommodated on the next train, which is an hour later. πŸ€žπŸš„

All good! The train manager wasn't bothered that I was on the wrong service.

@edward congratulations πŸŽ‰
@edward good luck. 😬The Eurostar schedules become complete fiction once they get a delay, and they try and farm the refunds
@edward for future reference, you can get a CIV ticket that would have helped you in this situation (I just found out about this from a colleague at FOSDEM). Commits the train companies to putting you on another train if either is late: https://www.seat61.com/european-travel-from-uk-regions.htm#buy-a-ticket-to-london-international-civ
