Via Meidas Touch:

#Biden outperforms polls and wins with over 96% of the vote in South Carolina.

NYT: “an uncertain measure of wider enthusiasm…”

#Trump underperforms polls and wins with just 54% of the vote in New Hampshire.

NYT: “made history” “builds on his momentum”

@GottaLaff beyond obvious corporate media is in on the take.

@GottaLaff

The so-called liberal media strikes again...

@GottaLaff I’d sure hate to boycott the NYT but maybe it’s enough already. I already canned CNN and MSNBC.
@WmShakesp3are @GottaLaff I refused to support #NYT in any way at all during 2016. They haven't gotten any better since. I might read the occasional "gifted" article if interested, but refuse to respond to their paywall.
@GottaLaff It’s like their only goal is to presage NYT pitchbot.
@GottaLaff Our media are so broken - just when we need them most
@kshapar I was just saying that to someone. It's anti democratic and dangerous as hell.
@GottaLaff @kshapar How can our democracy survive if the electorate is kept ignorant?
@kshapar It can't unless we educate voters.
@GottaLaff @kshapar Exactly- which makes what you and Nicole do all the more important
@GottaLaff I unsubscribed from NYT a couple years ago. This kind of reportage had become their norm. Infuriating.
@Barbramon1 All press is infuriating now. There is some good reporting even from the worst, but my god, shape up, News!

@GottaLaff
I used to think morning news was just like the news in 'Don't Look Up". I think it's all like that now

@Barbramon1

@Just_Tired @GottaLaff I cut the cable in 2003 in the run up to the invasion of Iraq. Haven't missed it.
One by one I have unsubscribed to all but a single major newspaper. I pay for LA Times and local paper for state and local news.
My reliance on reliable independent sources has increased dramatically.
@Barbramon1 @GottaLaff
I went cable free a little over a year ago. Don't miss it, except for Ari Melber and I catch the highlights on the NBC news app. News is just another part of the entertainment industry, lately.
@Just_Tired @GottaLaff Yep, I watch segments of cable news programs, mostly on YouTube. There are still a few respected commentators on cable.
I can stream network news but unless there's an urgent situation I don't bother. The entertainment aspect has dominated for a long time. A real loss.

@GottaLaff

Witness also the remarkable and quite deliberate under-reporting of large numbers who voted other than Trump in the NH GOP primary, saying they will not vote Trump in the GE. This shows how desperate corporate media is to prevent an absolute total implosion of the Republican Party.

The GOP is finished.

@GottaLaff

How about… media bias.

@GottaLaff

The election doesn't sell advertising if it's not a horserace.

Plus news loves the Red/Blue map but rarely shows the concentration map. They love to ignore that land doesn't vote because the concentration map doesn't increase outrage or the money that comes from selling outrage.
@GottaLaff some MSM is helping to destroy democracy.
@GottaLaff
the NYT is suitable for pet cage lining and that's about it.
@GottaLaff they need those GOP subs to be afloat, they can be less rosy about dems, they know they won't be that picky.
Also who cares, Biden crushes it with actual voting. Polls are getting wrong by each year, for obvious reasons.
@GottaLaff This kind of reporting is being repeated in other countries’ media and undermining faith in Biden. Some of my smartest, best-read Japanese students are telling me that Biden should drop out because he’s too old; otherwise Trump might get in again. I don’t know how to make them understand that they shouldn’t believe the NYT, that most famous and venerable newspaper.
@roque Oy. How democracy ends.
