I masked today in doctor's office, like I always do indoors in general. But today it prompted two very loud individuals to converse how they dont need to mask unless they are feeling awful. (Other whom had cough, fever, and couldn't go to work because of those and was told to go to doctor's for a note and #Covid test!!)
Of course they just _know_ if they are sick, it's not like you can get mild symptoms or be asymptomatic AND SPREAD Covid to those who could die!
They, a mom and adult daughter, were openly stating at me while I was minding my business on the other side of the room.
As I passed them, they kept their eyes locked on me, like judging that I was masked when "I didn't need to be". Unfortunately covering my face doesn't make me deaf. In fact, the ear infection that #covid has caused me for over 2 years has not effected my hearing at all so I could hear every nasty whisper though my pains.
I am happy to inform you that my doctor did wear a flimsy surgical mask at least, and when I had MRI some time ago the tecnician asked if i would be more comfortable if he masked too - with another flimsy surgical mask.
I do appreciate it though, the tiniest effort.
I just wish hospitals would give them proper masks to wear with us who try not to get sick again. I feel like it would make a big difference.
Additionally not a single nurse or other patient wore a mask so...I'll judt focus on the doctor who did mask and try to ignore the blatant "I don't give a fuck"-attitude swiping through #Finland while our ER's are stuffed, doctors and nursed are overworked and sick often, and people are told not to go unless they are madly sick.
They really do try to make this normal.
But at least she wore a mask for me.
