US Congressional oversight session on #UFO/ #UAP winding down.

Congress has a full plate of things to address and fix because someone(s) in the intelligence and defense departments are not only covering up info - they're misappropriating funds, threatening people and evading any congressional oversight at all.

They shouldn't let this go. This is one critical area both Republicans & Democrats can work on.

It may be a better bet to have our observatories look for worlds that resemble #Earth as it was long ago, when #dinosaurs ruled the surface. The reason for this is that, at that time, there were higher #oxygen levels on our world. Simply put, it's easier to detect a lot of oxygen on an exoplanet than a little bit of oxygen.

@Norobiik And which of those categories do humans fall into? Well we obviously exist, and we have done a moderate amount of listening. We have done very little deliberate transmitting. (Whether we should be or not is another question.)

Most intelligent species probably have all the same problems we do. They are neither toga-wearing philosophers with a world government, nor Klingons looking for planets to blow up. They are focused on their own immediate concerns.
