Moorland waters. Greenfield Brook on Saddleworth Moor, overlooked by the Trinnacle on Raven Stones Edge. It was in these waters that the nymph Rimmon was said to live.

Lovely, fairy tale land :) I see trolls/creatures to the right alongside the brook.
@Ambivalena The folklore in these parts tells of two giants (Alder and Alphin, after who two hills are named) who fought over the hand of a water nymph named Rimmon. It is thought to be a mythologisation of border land battles during the dark ages expansion of Northumbria. The Vikings were here too and a gold Viking ring was found further down this brook.This area was once part of the Danelaw during the 10th/11th century.
That´s really interesting and a great folklore I suppose? Thanks a lot for telling this story. Now I got curious to learn more about that.
