No reason at all why I'm telling this story today. A bunch of years ago, I worked on a security incident where a bit of critical infrastructure got totalled by some teenagers. We told the local government this. They told reporters it was Russian state sponsored.

It wasn't. It was teenagers. The history books say Russia. They are wrong.

My hero this week is Representative Zooey Zephyr of the Montana House of Representatives, who has had enough of weird laws from scared politicians that want to control all aspects of life, right down to the clothes we wear.

Ms. Zephyr is a transgender person, so she knows what she is talking about. And with her speech, she kills the latest bill that would otherwise have limited people's freedom to dress as they please.

Anyone else notice an uptick in items being shipped to the US getting mutilated with a razor by customs? (never had this happen before and now it's happened twice in a single month) First it was my custom spirograph from Poland. (Box was destroyed with a razor.) Then this very nice hand bound leather journal from Brazil.

The boxes in both cases could have been opened and resealed without taking a razor blade to them damaging the item. I'm pretty upset to see this lovely book cut up like this.

I don't think cis people understand how short the path is from:

"Trans women born with a penis don't have suitable bodies to pee in a women's bathroom"

to:

"Cis women born with a uterus don't have suitable bodies to own property, vote, or have jobs."

Biological essentialism hurts all of us.
