@thomasb On last weekend's hike up Diablo I passed a ditched electric bike on a steep slope Near Buerma Road. Met the rider a few minutes later, scouting on ahead who said he ran out of traction, not torque, on what his indicator said was a 45° slope!

Burma Road is STEEP - especially above North Gate Road, I came down Burma Road to North Gate Road this summer on my mountain bike and I was a little worried about the brakes!

The ride I've been doing a lot is to ride up North Gate Road on the pavement, then take Burma Road down to Pine Canyon (Stage Road Trail) to Castle Rock Park. I usually duck back up and come out through Borges Ranch and the Hannah Grove Trail.

We are so fortunate to have parks in the East Bay and the Bay Area!
