So at this point in her timeline Ireena knows her eventual girlfriend Tamra but they aren't actually together yet so I'm just imagining what's gonna happen when Ana comes up in conversation:

"So Ana is my sister... kind of."

"Kind of?"

"Oh boy, strap in."

"She's physically identical to me but 4 years younger, and we're both technically born from the same woman named Tatyana who spent centuries being reincarnated in Ravenloft, I was her latest incarnation and Ana was a piece of her soul that got accidentally split off and summoned into Faerun 50 years ago and Tatyana herself doesn't exist anymore because she let herself fade away after we defeated Strahd so I could live my own life. And we haven't even gotten to my brothers."

Ahaha I just realized that considering they are coming out of a salt mine Ireena is basically living a running joke from a podcast I listen to called #WellThereYourProblem where if you go into a cave you emerge with an eldritch double.

But that would honestly be easier to explain than this.

That's not even the only #WTYP connection in this campaign since the majority of it being set in an abandoned salt mine was inspired by the Lake Peigneur episode and because I thought the concept was so cool.

TL;DR a company in Louisiana was drilling for oil in a 10 feet deep lake and accidentally hit a salt mine which then sucked the entire lake including the oil rig down into it .

I just had the thought "sometimes a family is a girl and her 4 years younger twin sister who was born from a shard of the woman they were both reincarnated from, the spirits of her father, brother and her other brother and a summoned chestnut warhorse"
