Short thread on the voting in #Turkey's parliament regarding the extension of military operations targeting the #Kurds in #Iraq and #Syria for another two years. Here is how electoral alliances voted:
People's Alliance: 295 in favor, 1 against, 1 invalid, 26 absent
Nation Alliance: 58 in favor, 103 against, 51 absent
Labor and Freedom Alliance: 59 against, 6 absent

I will continue with votes from each party and my observations.

First, the government.
#AKP: 242 in favor, 1 against, 20 absent
#MHP: 49 in favor, 1 invalid
#YRP: 3 in favor, 2 absent,
#HÜDAPAR: 4 absent
#DSP: 1 in favor
Very surprising to see one against vote from the ruling AKP. It was from Burdur MP, Mustafa Oğuz. I don't know anything about him, he was probably just confused. Two things to underline. First, there is not a single absent MP from the far-right nationalist MHP. Second, all four MPs from #Kurdish #Islamist Hüdapar were absent.

Main opposition
#CHP: 103 against, 27 absent
#İYİP: 37 in favor, 7 absent,
#SP: 7 in favor, 13 absent
#DEVA: 11 in favor, 4 absent
#DP: 3 in favor
#SP includes 10 MPs from former-prime minister Davutoğlu's #GP. 6 of these ten voted in favor while 9 of ten original MPs from the Islamist SP were absent.

Pro-#Kurdish opposition
#YSP: 54 against, 3 absent
#TİP: 1 against, 3 absent
#EMEP: 2 against
#DBP: 2 against

It can be seen that the Turkish nationalists placed much importance on the voting while Islamists lend a less enthusiastic but still complete support. TİP may be criticized by its pro-Kurdish allies for the low participation, which was due to their march to free the imprisoned Hatay MP, Can Atalay. CHP's excuse for not supporting was the mention of foreign armed groups, making reference to government-backed #Islamist proxies.
