Never had or handled an iPhone 5c until today...
These phones are drop dead gorgeous and feel fantastic in the hand.
@BasicAppleGuy still one of my favorite models, especially that coral one
@BasicAppleGuy Unapologetically plastic.
@wajdi @BasicAppleGuy Slippery as a stick of butter. Destroyed mine by a couple of minor drops during a rainstorm.
@BasicAppleGuy It is the most iPod feeling iPhone that’s ever made.
@BasicAppleGuy I loved those things. It’s sad that they abandoned plastic on the SE models.
@BasicAppleGuy Right? The 5c was underrated and especially on this aspect. The plastic finish was actually great. Miles ahead of iPhone 3G(S) for sure!
@BasicAppleGuy right?! The phone felt really solid, like it was made out of thicker harder plastic. The white version’s amazing
@BasicAppleGuy My first type of iPhone. It was very good!
@BasicAppleGuy Much better hand feeling than we think the 15 series has.
@BasicAppleGuy It was a high quality plastic molded onto a metal frame I beleive. Nothing else has felt as solid and as warm
@BasicAppleGuy Oh man, I remember this phone. It was awesome for its time and I personally think it was the most “Apple” designed iPhone to date, they really maximized creativity with minimalism and functionality in the hardware. I loved it!
@BasicAppleGuy I really did love the way they felt in hand but damn, if you didn’t take care of them, they scratched and pitted so easily.
@BasicAppleGuy best looking iPhone ever. I wish it had a come back with an all screen front.
@BasicAppleGuy I had the yellow one with that weird rubber dot case. Honestly liked the look. Fun iphone era.
@BasicAppleGuy My current phone is a Product (Red) 13 in an indigo thin case. Pretty sure I got the idea of color peeking out behind color from the 5C and their perforated silicone cases. Apple used to love color.
@marcintosh @BasicAppleGuy Sadly those days are over, someone has developed an allergy over there.
@BasicAppleGuy as much as I love the 15 Pro Max cameras, I still miss the days that there wasn’t a camera bump and the whole unit was flush at the back.
@BasicAppleGuy the alternate timeline where this phone sold well and Apple used that as the playbook for the year old phones is fascinating
@BasicAppleGuy I still recalled how people panned that model phone but in hand feel did feel nice! And with a plastic backing; you felt like you didn’t have to be as delicate with your phone.
@BasicAppleGuy I had the 5S, but during that era my wife had the blue 5C. Gorgeous phone. Unironically I sometimes envied her phone. Felt great in the hand and looked great. Gave her no trouble at all.
@BasicAppleGuy 5C was an awesome iPhone not given a chance vs 5S and 6.
