I am really interested in finding out, if people of different nations believe, their country is providing sufficient assistance to Ukraine.
If you want to help me, please boost this poll.

Has your country provided sufficient assistance for Ukraine?

US/Canada, Yes
12.4%
US/Canada, No
39.7%
EU/UK, Yes

@randahl Aus/NZ to round out the five eyes?
@KilKerrin absolutely relevant to have more countries in this poll. Unfortunately, Mastodon only allows 4 options in each poll.
@randahl @KilKerrin Also, some options in between yes and no would have been nice. But overall, even though a lot of help has been provided, it should have been significantly more to make a real difference, to prevent further bloodshed and to prevent Russia from fulfilling its legendary role of being the morally bad guy in the world.
@randahl Russia is still there, still bombing and killing.
@randahl no, but i live in Taiwan. we have our own WW3 we are trying to prepare for.

@tootbrute you have my deepest sympathy.

However, I find it less likely, China will invade Taiwan, now that every economist in the Chinese state has seen the consequences of a country being completely isolated from the world.

I do not think Chinese nationalists realised what world isolation meant, until they saw what happened to Russia.

@randahl we can only hope democracies can hold the line
@randahl I accidentally tipped on the wrong one.
@randahl I'm guessing Tajikistan would do nothing since it's still a Russian colony
@randahl If you're going to participate in a proxy war, you'd better keep doing it until your side wins.
@randahl I don't like my government (nl) but regarding Ukraine they were actually pretty good. They were early in wanting to donate tanks and F16s, but were held back by the countries that produced them

@randahl I don't understand the world's 'softly, softly' approach.

Doesn't anyone learn from history, even fairly recent events (Crimea, 2014 anyone)?

Yes, it's a tough problem but ignoring it won't make it go away!

@TalktoBeverley it’s like whispering to a cancer wound on your forearm instead of going to the doctor.

@randahl EXACTLY! It's driving me crazy.

I admire President Zelenskyy for several reasons, but it seems he has the patience of a saint.

That said, I appreciate it won't be my life, or the life of my child that would be on the front line. But the current approach will be more painful and more costly in the end. 🤷🏻‍♀️ The men in power are SO stupid.

@TalktoBeverley this is what my next episode is all about. I am finishing the script as we speak, so it will be coming out next week.
@randahl I hope you're answering the question "Who is making money by prolonging this war?"
I'm from Norway, so well.. I think we are on the top of that list?
@randahl You’re getting a really biased sample here, but it’s nice to see folks willing to do more.

@randahl

Imagine the poll results you’d get on Shitter.

@randahl I don't think either of them is doing enough, the aid has a cowardly character, because it is just enough to keep the West safe for the time being, but much more is needed to defeat Russia. It seems to me that Ukraine cannot do without a well-equipped air force at the very least.
@randahl It's constantly too little, too late.
I voted "EU/UK, No" because I think we(EU) could do much more. But satisfied what my Czech gov do.
@randahl right now Russia is not only winning they are laughing at the rest of the world.

@randahl I understand that #Mastodon limits the number of options, but in having lumped Canada together with the #US, there's definitely a negative bias against Canada.
To clarify, #Canada has put in $10 Billion dollars towards assisting #Ukraine
