Hello !
Since we have to start with something, I'll introduce myself with my current project : I'm building a nixie clock !
These are 3D renders of the final design I've settled on, made in Blender, all procedural materials.
The electronics are ready, I'm using an 📟 arduino R4 WiFi with the Arduinix daughter board kit, and the tubes are german Z5600M 💡 .
I'll eventually make a github page one day with all the useful stuff.

Here are some pics of the actual electronics.
- I drew and got a custom PCB made locally
- The clock can store your wifi info, and it then connects to the net to get the current time and date from the Central Network Protocol server.
- It connects to the time server once a week to wipe off any time drift.

BUT WAIT ! I'm someone who runs after way too many things !

I also :
- Do art, illustration, comics / manga
- I'm a 3D art teacher in a video game school, teaching Blender
- Do Gamedev (my current mid range goal would be to publish a game made with a cool new Doom 3 engine source portn RBDoo3BFG)
- I've set up a hand tool workshop in my cellar, I love woodworking
- I love my old bikes
- I love a scottish beer named Belhaven Black.
@dmeat That looks absolutely great.
What are you showing with the two nixie bars? Is that also the time?
@dmeat That looks cool. What are the vertical tubes on the right for?
@Snoeksen They are a VU meter, the orange light bounces up with the music :) I used the SGVU151 kit that uses soviet IV-13 tubes. I''m almost done with the acual real world version, I'll share stuff about it when it's done !
