1 #Monday is my first #DayOff, each week, so I don't try to be too productive. Today I did some writing early afternoon, then went out for air/ #exercise (i.e. get out of the computer chair and move!) + to immerse myself in #nature. Rather than puttering around the yard/garden, I wanted to get into the #bush Of course it was starting to #rain lightly as soon as I was setting out, but I persisted-I wasn't going super far, I could run back if it got serious (possible thunderstorms) #Alberta
2 The rain continued off and on, mostly very light- I had on a warm hoody, and wasn't getting wet- but did have to keep my camera mostly inside my jacket. Spots were appearing in some photos from drops on the lens. It was a bit gloomy out, but the #AutumnColours were beautiful and I was breathing deeply with the #NatureSpirits
Then the #clouds parted for a few minutes, and the trees all around the old field I was in were alight! A #Rainbow even! #SolaceInNature #October #GetOutside #FotoMontag
3 Ah-it had all been beautiful, but that moment above was the reason I was right there, in that moment in that place! It just lasted a few minutes, then I continued on-- many more photos of trees and leaves and clouds, and this view across the neighbours' to the distant #RockyMountains #Alberta #Autumn #fall
@cohanf colours are really beautiful
@jeanoappleseed it's a really spectacular time of year-- our trees have fewer colours than down east, and shorter season, but tons of colour in the understory for a long time-- mid-late August, and still going..
@cohanf that’s a really long time indeed.
