Whether you are an editor, a Minecraft player or a friend of indie web - you can help our wiki tremendously even by doing very little. There are multiple ways you could contribute to the success of our new wiki!

The next few months will define how our new Minecraft Wiki will develop and be used in the future, so let's look into how exactly you may help us ultimately help you too.

Boosting and sharing the toot thread is very appreciated.

One of the best ways you can help is to contribute to the wiki directly!

Wikis are collaborative documents, to make them successful they require people with different skills. Editors write content, document the game and update information.

You enjoy 3D modelling or design? We need renders and designers too!

If you are technically minded, the wiki maintains a whole bunch of templates and modules that you can edit and improve.

We can assure you that you'll find plenty of opportunities to help!

Or perhaps you are a better shitposter - in which case you can help us make the news of this fork reach more people!

Memes, being a language of the Internet spread like a fire on tickspeed 9001, and this is exactly what we need, make them, share them, join in on the fun.

The more creative the better. If you know anyone with audience, gaming journalist or a group of friends - tell them about the new wiki, lets make as many of Minecraft players aware as possible.

Give us feedback on how we can make the wiki even better. You can do so even in here, just a few clicks away. Nothing is ever perfect, but thanks to you we can make our common resource closer to this than ever. Constructive feedback is the backbone of collaborative resources like this.

You can contribute this way by leaving your feedback at https://minecraft.wiki/w/Minecraft_Wiki_talk:Community_portal, as a reply to this thread or by joining our Discord server. So many ways!

Finally, just visit the new wiki over the old one.

When you search with the search engine of your choice, click links pointing to minecraft.wiki instead of Fandom. This signals to a search engine that you are more interested in the new wiki.

Eventually, minecraft.wiki will be the first result, which is our end goal.

Use and promote Indie Wiki Buddy - a browser extension which helps you hide Fandom results from Google as well as redirect you to new wikis. https://getindie.wiki/

Doesn't even show in DuckDuckGo yet.
@blaue_Fledermaus Yes, unfortunately it takes a bit of time for the search engines to discover the new site - but bit by bit they should pick it up. Google already has, so it seems like the other search engines are crawling a bit slower.
