Let’s not forget what Kevin McCarthy and the GOP choose to spend time and resources on this month: a baseless impeachment inquiry against Joe Biden and attacks upon the Justice Department for doing its job.

Instead of passing the budget they already agreed to this spring, they waste time and taxpayer money doing the bidding of extremists within their ranks, all while careening toward yet another government shutdown.

We must vote them out next fall. As many as we possibly can.

@georgetakei they have a far right media network that spans all social networks, TV, radio and a ton of huge websites like Gateway pundit infowars etc etc etc. their attacks are coordinated. We are not networked, don’t operate in coalitions and are not organized. At all. They dominate the discourse because we are not united against them.

@georgetakei Even without the war on Ukraine we are in a time of Global crisis, both economic and climatic. We must demand discipline from both parties and make them think about the well-being of the nation. (Also, promote more energy sources that do not produce CO2 to avoid a rise of 3 degrees in global temperature). Storms will be more numerous & stronger than they are now.

But I also want to add that this is all a distraction from tackling the REAL issues in this country: Our healthcare system is broken, Our education structure is anything but educatiing, our infrastructure is crumbling, our taxation system is completely unbalanced, and our democracy is failing. Those in office are fiddling while Rome burns.
