*siiiiigh*

it's cancer.

stage 1.

i go into surgery this week again.

#fuckCancer #GetAmammo #GetChecked

@blogdiva Oh, no. I'm so sorry

@design_law thank you. am holding on to as many spoons as i can, but i feel people need to know that, if anything, am lucky they caught it so early.

mammos are so hard to come by for so many people even in areas like nyc. i need people to fight to get them.

but am telling you, my MDs are everything to me right now. they've been on this like butter on toast. they do not want to let a week or two go by. am so grateful for their aggressive focus.

@blogdiva nice work catching it so early! Do all the stuff, even when you don't want to. xxoo
@susiemagoo thank you love!
@blogdiva mine was 2 headed for three when I found it. that was back in 2006. medicine is so much better all the time. Head down, and go through the stuff. It ends, and then recedes into history.
@susiemagoo this is what i needed to hear. thank you, love!
@blogdiva This is gonna sound weird, but make it fun! And don't think you need to do all the things you usually do. You do Not! Good luck, and, well, have fun! I mean it! Anyone want a peanut?
@blogdiva Ill leave you to it. Thanks for sharing. xo
@blogdiva I'm sorry to hear this, and wish you a speedy recovery.
@sennoma thank you! am just happy it was caught so early. i trust my doctors because i understand the science and they're the best at what they do.
@blogdiva nooo. I was waiting to hear from you. .
Hugs.
i will be thinking of you and wishing you the very best. Ugh. so sorry. Fuck cancer
@JoBlakely thank you love. yes, #fuckCancer & hospital administrations in love with their bureaucratic bullshit. but in spite of that, it's the MDs and nurses that are important and am blessed with awesome teams that have wasted no time to get me to this point.
@blogdiva yes! so much. So glad you got this early. So glad you have good people around you.
@blogdiva So sorry to hear this. I hope the surgery removes everything and that the treatment is relatively painless.
@tobie1 it's so tiny, that's the plan. am grateful it was caught so early.
@blogdiva That is good news. All good wishes to you. I've been there and know how frightening it is. It sounds like you are in very capable hands.
@blogdiva I am sorry, that's horrible news. Pulling hard for you; been a factor in my own family recently and I understand the importance of staying strong. You can beat this m-fer. Anything I can do, please do not hesitate to ask.

@AnarchoNinaWrites thank you love. i just want people fighting to get all the medical care we all deserve. get that Medicaid if you don't have insurance. fight for #Medicare4All

and while we're at it, send me all the cute little otters, pandas, dogs, cats, hippos... heck all baby animals gifs, memes, videos you can get. i need as many hits of serotonin i can get. i won't let the eugenicists win.

#fuckcancer #fuckcapitalism #fuckeugenics

@blogdiva @AnarchoNinaWrites

Love is real, & so are cute borbs! (They are not babies, they are seniors but I still hope they bring a smile)

@blogdiva @AnarchoNinaWrites

Damn, my mom has cancer right now, too! She just had her second surgery on this past Wednesday.

This is Pete. You can find more pictures of him on his own account, @peteisagoodboy

@transmascdruid @AnarchoNinaWrites @peteisagoodboy d'awwwww i had an orange bb who looked like yours. his name was Pastrami. thanks for sharing your baby.

@blogdiva @AnarchoNinaWrites

These two pics I keep on my phone because they're just goddang funny (imho) and pretty useful in socmedia conversations.

Yes, I love satire.

(CTRL +ALT + SMITE CANCER!)

@blogdiva
Crap. Crap. Crap.

I am glad that you are getting surgery.

@blogdiva Got it early. That's great news for bad news. Take gentle care of yourself
@blogdiva I'm sorry to hear about this. So glad to hear that you are happy with your doctors. I wish you the best as you work through this. Take care.
@blogdiva You can beat this. My wife did. Stay strong.
@blogdiva So grateful they caught it early and that you have a great team on your side. ๐Ÿซ‚ All the best for your healing journey!
@blogdiva I'm sorry to hear that. It's a tough road, and it's really scary. I had a different kind of cancer, but if you need an ear my DMs are open
@blogdiva Oh, damn. Years ago I went through lumpectomy/radiation for stage zero. Iโ€™m here if you have any questions. โค๏ธ

@pcarlson001 it's similar but i don't even have a lump. it's less than 2mm big, but my MD is like, "am gonna get this out of your body. you're going home the same day. then you're having targeted chemo. then you'll be cancer free. LET'S GO!

am digging her ferocious focus on this. she is not wasting any time at all.

@blogdiva Yes ferocious focus is what you want! My treatment was the standard at the time for my age and what I had. That gets updated all the time, which is great.
@blogdiva I didnโ€™t have a lump as such either but the surgery was worthy of the name lumpectomy.
@blogdiva Chin up. You've got this. Sending kind thoughts.
@blogdiva I hope the best for you! The meds and techniques are much better! Look to see if you qualify for a cancer immunotherapy program.

@blogdiva

Stay strong!

Take care!

@blogdiva Thoughts and prayers and transfers of merit, my friend.
@blogdiva ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐ŸŒบ
@blogdiva oh dear. sending you the biggest of hugs, and wish you strength on the journey ahead.

@blogdiva stage 1. Thatโ€™s the best case scenario. Iโ€™m gonna hold onto the positivity for you because I know itโ€™ll be hard for you to do that. When you need some, come poke me.

I wish you didnโ€™t have to deal with this. Iโ€™m sorry. Fuck cancer sideways.

@amaditalks thank you bb. will hold you up to your promise ๐Ÿ’— ๐Ÿ’— ๐Ÿ’—
@blogdiva You will absolutely beat this. ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—
@blogdiva So sorry to hear the news. Take good care, glad you are getting treated. Carrying healing thoughts for you with me.
@blogdiva
So sorry to hear that. So glad you caught it when you did. We internet semi-strangers are cheering you on!
@blogdiva Stage 1 has a great prognosis, and you're spot-on for underscoring the importance of getting checked/screening mammograms. Early detection makes a *huge* difference. Sending good vibes your way, and happy to point out good sources of information on the topic.
@DataDrivenMD send them all my way. kind of amazed at how aggressively fast and focused my MD is, but she also is one of the leading experts @ Mt Sinai. it's all been microsurgery. super-targeted biopsies with the one surgery that led to finding the area. not even a lump formed (<2mm). so am EXTREMELY happy with my primary phys, who after YEARS of me trying to get proper mammos at Beth Israel, decided to send me to Lennox Hill. that really was key. the radiology team at Lenox Hill is ๐Ÿ† ๐Ÿ† ๐Ÿ†.
@blogdiva I am so sorry! Giant hugs available if you want them ((()))
