As pleased as I will be when this piece of shit dies, preferably as you put it 'slowly, painfully and without dignity' because dying happy in old age would be a win for him, I will not celebrate.
By all accounts his son, Lachlan, is worse.
Oh dang I never finished Succession thx for the reminder. No spoilers!
@casseagull @lisamelton I think the Right’s use of the word “elites” in a derogatory way is just them admitting they don’t like people smarter than they are.
Ever get called a “geek” or a “brain” growing up and remember their disdain? That was their fear of being seen for what they were—dumb or at least ignorant.
Intelligent Right-wingers use it as populist cudgel. See those “brains” (elites) over there? Let’s go shove them into the lockers.
Yes, the Elites are trying to paint anyone that opposes them as 'The Elites' to get people to stop referring to them as Elites.
That guy can't burn in hell fast enough
@casseagull Rupert Murdoch didn't resign. He is still an owner with all the authority and incentives of an owner, and he still has a loud voice in the decision making.
This is just an old man filing tax paperwork to hoard wealth.
@casseagull i genuinely can't figure out what part of this toot is the most disturbing, but I think it's the fact that having 17.4 BILLION DOLLARS only makes you the 96th richest person in the world.
No one should be allowed to have that much money, ever
It's interesting how so many rich and powerful people see themselves, or pretend to be, as not part of the mainstream or the elite.
What's all that about?
Perhaps because he's a small man in every senses, small minded, small intellect, small vision, small hearted who can only define themselves in terms of what he hates. And he hates everything that's not him: people with hope, vision, ideas, skills and love.
(Russell Brand is another one bemoaning the mainstream...)
