when i used to teach Spanish i used songs in any way i could because, we can learn a lot about accents & inflections with songs.

Fito Páez' ‘El Amor Después Del Amor’ comes in at #22 and this album is a cátedra in exactly that.

i feel Páez is the first who exploits his very argentino accent to create the inflections that make folk American soul so distinct and are so hard to replicate as an hispanoparlante.

@blogdiva I've written over 2000 tunes. I have no idea what genre a lot of them are in. When posting to someplace like SoundCloud, they want a genre. One punk rocker from England said they all sound like country music to him. If you want a challenge, I'll toss a couple your way. Not that they don't get plays, but I tag most things rock or pop b/c I have no ability in this area, lololol. A lifetime has proven that is true. I bow to your special skill set.

@blogdiva Heh. That was the song that let me find out I really like Latin American music, once I found out what all that cool stuff at the end was. I was like eight or nine. Drove my hip young daycare lady crazy with it over the next few years asking for it all the time. She told me decades later over a beer that she'd wished she'd never played it for me 🤣
