@Nonya_Bidniss this will not be compliant to #GDPR as others have mentioned and as such not allowed in Europe. Not that such a thing would stop them from doing it anyway and be tied up in court for years.
Next to that it is also a very quick way of handing very sensitive data to a company that might be used in lots of ways. What if that company is to be trusted, but is #hacked. That's a lot of very useful data, which can be used in a lot of unpleasant ways.
And all that risk for a social media account.

@Nonya_Bidniss Meta has been doing this. For absolutely no reason I lost access to my Instagram account that I barely use to follow some people. I had to send a selfie with a verification code handwritten. I used AI and photoshop to generate the thing and now I have regained access.
