Verification, my ass! It's a 'good for thee, but not for me.'
Musk has the proprietary knowledge of who passes such a verification and who doesn't, so it's STILL at his discretion who gets to join, giving some a total pass on successful verification (and 'I see Russian trolls' echoes loudly here) to those he wants in, and no accountability if a successful verification is subsequently denied. And then, there's always suspension to mop up the rest.
The parts of Twitter that are not already dead need an open hunting season declared on 'da birdie.'
@bespacific We've seen this approach before.
It resulted in the leak of everyone participating's government issued identification. (When is "limited time" unlimited? When there is no reason to delete your data.)
ββββing genius.
For those that remain, I have one question: is the jacuzzi temperature increasing slowly enough for you?
Careful with that. Psilocybin deadens temperature sensitivity; you could injure yourself.
@bespacific
The UK government & intelligence services use the Summer to annoy people (it seems to me).
June is intrusion into Bank accounts Month.
July is badgering people for addresses & phone numbers connected to paying bills.
August is photo ID verification Month.
They're very tiresome but I'm totally sure that they're not doing fraud with all that info right?
Right? π³
