Brian Pierce#bluesblocker blocked 19K+ for me but I've pretty much moved over to #medmastodon from #medtwitter at this point so #elon removing blocking from #Twitter is just another reason to never go back there.
@BrianPierce @w7voa Yes, but there are still two or a couple of very interesting accounts I follow that are not on Mastodon, and some others who are but whose posts I often miss because there is no priorization algorithm here. Otherwise, I‘m already more active on the the elephant than on the X-bird.
Same here. There are a lot of #medtwitter folks and accounts that I liked and found useful that haven't yet moved to #mastodon but at this point it's becoming hard to justify the ethics of using #twitter .

Someone had blamed Joe Biden for Trump's recent indictment in Georgia and I pointed out that local officials don't report to anyone in the federal government. The guy I blocked turned the singular "this indictment" into the plural "indictments", & then tried to be condescending when I pointed out what he had done. You can't have a useful discussion with someone who continually misquotes you.

Good, anyway I already had decided and announced will deactivate my Twitter account in coming days.
In the last year majority of people I followed became less and less active, quality and variety of the feed deteriorated and my time spend on it reduced to less than couple of minutes a day.

With the name change, it is no longer possible to tweet. A new nomenclature is needed. Since Xitter is properly pronounced Zitter a vocabulary like this might help:
She zitted a zit, but nobody popped it so she blind pimpled a friend with more followers to rezit her OZ. But that got no pops either. Then she expanded the OZ into a boil which later went outbreak.
Some think the X should be pronounced SH as in pin yin, but I think that's BZ.

I’ve had to leave many good folk behind and lost many very useful feeds of information from official government and corporate accounts. But gladdened that many of those ‘official’ accounts are also slowly realising what he’s doing and are moving to the Fediverse too. This is also a much happier place where people are supportive rather than being negative.
