Born at 314ppm CO2. Escapee from Twitter, and now from home.social too. 🫤 Tofu-loving woke ex EU citizen. Retired hi-tech entrepreneur, once focused on future cities/buildings, climate & UBI, now keen on saving the planet and democracy. I dream of the day when I can return my focus to my first loves.

If you don’t like #politics, you probably shouldn’t follow me. 😁 Though I do also have a #creative side, and I'm a #maker too.

"The top 15% of global food emitters account for 30% of all food-related greenhouse gases—exactly the same share produced by the bottom 50% of the population. This concentration means that relatively few people drive a disproportionate share of the food system’s climate impact."

How Just A Small Share Of The World Drives Most Food-Related Emissions

The world's richest 15% produce as much food-related emissions as the poorest 50% combined. New research reveals stark climate inequality in our diets.

@lambdacalculus is getting a lot closer to his goal and being able to move into a new apartment after an electrical fire damaged his current place and most of his stuff was trashed.

If you can help him get back on his feet I know he’d appreciate it. So would I.

For those who’ve already helped - you’re fucking amazing and thank you.

To those who are able and willing to help, you’re awesome too!

If you can’t help with cash but wish you could? Boosts are welcome!

The movement to delegitimize public concern about #covid was initially led by a dozen right-wing disinfo sources with specific, defined political goals. It was facilitated by (petit) bourgeois interests and clearly contrived.

The Biden-era "mission accomplished" narrative was a broader phenomenon with more distributed causal factors (actual reduction of deaths, public fatigue at control measures, labor organizing setbacks in healthcare industry, years of being forced to unmask at work, etc.).

If anyone's planning to go to the shops in the next few days, I must apologise in advance, for I have eaten everything.
A quick list of common vaccine injuries:
- becoming an adult
- having to go to that social event you hoped to miss
- still gotta go to work
- both legs remaining functional
- getting stuck with only a measly a day of fever instead of a week of heinous illness
- getting an ouchie on your arm
- leaving the office with a Snoopy band-aid like a total child
- missing out on the opportunity for cervical cancer or dementia

If it is snowing
where you are
please do be careful
for what is in the air
poses a threat.

And if it is not snowing
where you are
please do be careful
for snow is not
the only thing in the air
that poses a threat.

@neil Some PCs have had bloatware pre-installed like this for decades.

But mine, which I've been buying from WoC since some time last century, don't - the punter *does* have a choice. https://www.woc.co.uk/

Long shot, does anyone have an unwanted rabbit hutch in London?

Poor thing was found abandoned on Wanstead Flats today and we are considering giving it an emergency home

Could this
have been prevented?
Yes, this
could have been prevented.
And yet, my friend.
And yet, my friend, it wasn’t.
