Richard@Strandjunker GW Bush's DWI was a misdemeanor and years before his presidency. Ulysses S. Grant was arrested for speeding while president (in a horse and carriage). Andrew Jackson was jailed by the British during the revolution, which is kind of a big deal but also laudable. But these felony indictments are in a totally different league than anything we've seen.

Arguably, the lack of past accountability lead to the sense of impunity today.
