OH MY GOD. I could not get rear quarter windows of my car to go up the last month. Too lazy to take to dealer. So I subscribed to Lexus dealer diagnostics docs for $25 for 2 days.

I go to troubleshooting section.
1.) Battery connected?
2.) Engine on?
3.) Window lock off?

@SwiftOnSecurity Even from the driver's controls? Most cars still let it operate the windows with the lock on, so doing otherwise seems counterintuitive.
@redrummy @SwiftOnSecurity I would also expect that. On basically every car I've been in that had window lock systems, in all of them the driver side control would still allow commands to all the windows.
@nanianmichaels the weird convertible windows are controlled by a master switch that gets disabled

@SwiftOnSecurity OH, they're not the regular windows.

That makes more sense, there's probably a chance for PEBCAK (or in this case, PEBCASW) in some combination of window state and roof retraction if you allow them to move willy nilly 😝
