I did a search on the hashtag #lowsodium and it returned zero results. So I am putting one here.

I was advised to go on a low sodium diet after I had a (hopefully minor) heart issue at the beginning of the year.

Somewhat ironically, previous to that I had discovered cooking videos on YouTube and found out that salt is pretty much the key to all flavors and it really did improve my home cooking. So now I have to start all over again. So I guess if I get any feedback I'll post occasionally.

@MylesRyden #Salt is a very effective taste enhancer, that's one reason why it is used so much. But there are alternatives. Firstly, all kinds of #herbs and #spices. For my #bread, I replace a big part of the salt by dried #ginger, making awesome bread.
Simpler is to use #lowsodium salt, where 2/3 or the NaCl is replaced byKCl. I don't know in which part of the world you are, but #LoSalt and #JoZo have it, but also others have low-sodium salt.
Added benefit is that you increase your potassium.
@KFvMalssen My cardiologist told me not to use KCl and other "light salts."
