@mimsical so many people just happy to watch the world burn while they have their big trucks and SUVs. It's just sad.
Years ago I was visiting a friend and we went out in her Hummer she knew I hated, and she told me I would just have to "deal". Hope she enjoyed "dealing" with the month long summer in Phoenix where she lives of 110 plus days. She helped cause it after all.
I know it's mostly agriculture and oil companies and industrial pollution that cause it, but we're not helping.
I always hated those kind of parents when I coached. Then it's "Why isn't my kid playing more?" during the games. Because your kid is standing there looking at cars driving by because they're more interested in them than the game, you morons.
@mimsical The only silver lining to this (having fallen down a rabbit hole on Jeep/Dodge's roadmap after reading the article) is the inline 6 Hurricane twin turbo engine that's in this is 1) more fuel efficient than the standard 6.4L V8 in the base model 2) the first step towards I4/I6 hybrid engines.
As the last holdout big engine muscle car company, its hard to reverse the ship overnight. (I'd totes get a Hornet PHEV)
Having said that, I still wonder what they were thinking with this.
I see one billionaire's kid walking to school in Kirkland, WA getting killed by another billionaire driving this thing and Jeep announces they are putting an end to production due to lack of sales.
@mimsical agree with the disgusting nature of such an excessive vehicle
But also the ‘normal’ lol size version of the GW has been a failure. FCA tops lists of cars that are not selling right now, with most experts saying they are way overpriced. And they bring this ultra-expensive one out.
Lastly, it’s the least attractive large SUV by a mile
@mimsical well, when we’ve completely given our world over to the automobile, at least survivors will have somewhere to live.
What a f**king monstrosity. Who allows shite like that to be actually built and certified for use?
@mimsical List price in the U.S.: $95,440.
There are multiple ways the executives at Chrysler-Fiat are disconnected from reality.
