Few are as lucky as me, to be able to escape the monotonous city life on weekdays and to spend quality time in the villages of #India

Once again an opportunity came knocking at my door.
So, leaving #Delhi #NewDelhi, here I am on way to #BrarBrothers farms at #Puranpur in #Pilibhit district of #Terai region of #UttarPradesh

The first rural (and unique) sight is this Wheat Straw (turi) Storage Cones dotting the landscape.

Monuments of Rural India.

@ssharadmohhan "hay stacks" or "hay ricks" in UK english, I think. The small things in the fields are called stooks, then you cart it somewhere safe and build a haystack, those are "thatched" (making a roof from straw) to keep out the rain, like uk ones were. But due to rain, it was never that many like that, I think they used it for the autumn, or maybe it switched to barns. It's like oxen, everyone thinks it was always horses, but it was oxen till 19th century.
