So #MacOS folks, do I need antivirus or malware detection and if so, which one? My new Air is so sweet and fast, I want to cherish it.
@avirr How many of these published vulnerabilities, if exploited on your computer, would cost you in lost time, money, ability to work, or peace of mind? Anti-malware works like an insurance policy, it offsets some of the potential for loss. Comparative statistics with Windows vulnerabilities don't do a damn bit of good when you become a victim. I also know people who don't lock their front door to their house because, well, the odds are so low.

@VisualStuart Yep, we don’t have security by obscurity any more. What anti-malware software do you suggest?
@avirr @VisualStuart tagging along, since I am also looking for anti-malware software. I used „Panda Virus“ for a while, since it offered a multi-platform license, but I didn‘t like the subscription fee. I prefer buying software.
