I was working on a legacy deck for #magicthegathering but I'm pausing for now to see if the Doctor Who cards show up in the format. No issue with anyone who likes Doctor Who, but I was interested in playing eternal Magic, not TV sci-fi. D&D and LotR were borderline for me because they are at least thematically similar high fantasy.

Feel like I'm pretty close at this point to only enjoying time-bound eternal formats and limited. Must be getting old.

@justindz I've been feeling the same honestly about the Universes beyond. At least with the Secret Lair Universes Beyond there was the promise of OG magic alternatives being printed but i dont think they said they do that for 40k or Doctor Who

@lordrint @justindz I think some are too top-down in their design to really work...
But if they become a big thing in formats, I do think they should do reprints as "the real card" (reverse Godzilla)

And it would be nice if the Secret Lair cards where reskins of named cards, like the Godzilla cards, but that aren't printed. Would give some fun speculation about card names and what lore they will make up to make them fit (and then they have to do it! Like steamboss!)
