Aventon Abound - first ride

I hemmed and hawed on many models, but as my goal is to replace all trips <5 miles with a bike, I knew I would get more out of investing in one that could haul groceries. It doubles as a way to keep my heavy backpack clean and off my back when riding.

I didn't open her up as I took a main street without a bike lane, but you can see the downhill in the results 😉

Should I record an overview/ride?

@Kendra Awesome! That looks like it can fit a ton a stuff (I love my road bike + rack/panniers combo, but it definitely has its limits).

@SRLevine I will check those out!
I have a 3d printer so I might create some custom kit depending on how it goes. The bike was comparable price-wise to smaller bikes and now I have no excuses.

@Kendra that’s one heck of a cargo platform. Does it pop off easily so you can take a passenger?

@famousringo It's only 4 bolts so it shouldn't be too difficult to swap but it's technically only for children. It is rated for 143lbs so some adults could sit with their knees on the footrests 😆
