@magnargj actually, piston fillers are quite safe to take on a plane as long as you advance the piston to expel the air from the pen (with nib pointing up, turn piston knob until you see some ink flood the feed), and leave it in that position during travel. You can retract it again once you’re at cruising altitude.

@magnargj nice. So the first pen is silver trim? Looked like gold based on the lighting but I can see it now
@paradoxmo It has a gold trim, but it is lacking the two metal belts at the base of the piston screw.
@magnargj Interesting that in this case the 5 doesn’t mean silver trim like it does for the main series
