So one of my favorite bands (Grouplove) is touring as a warm up act for P!nk. I don’t mind P!nk but not sure if it’s worth it to go to a show for a warmup act. Thoughts?
Ok you all generally convinced me to go. Who wants to come with?

@sommer I've done it and had an usher angrily tell me that they wouldn't let me back into the venue when I was attempting to leave after the opening act was over.

"Sounds good to me!"

@MuseumShuffle hahahaha “cool cool cool”
@sommer depends on the price of the ticket but it’s not unreasonable
@sommer If you have a chance to see one of your favorite bands live, I'd say go for it!
@jamesdempsey I love this mentality, James!

@sommer obviously, price is always a factor, but there have been a few concerts I’ve missed for one reason or another… I’ve always regretted it.

Don’t regret seeing a band you want to see and have the means to do so. Life is about people and experiences.

@sommer Perfectly reasonable thing to do, assuming ticket prices aren't insane. I've done it myself a few times. And I've seen it done countless times, where the opener has a large crowd and the headliner has one that is somewhat smaller.
@sommer i've done it before, i think it's generally worth it
@sommer see the artist you want is never a bad thing. Also, not that you asked, I would stay for part of the headliners set - it may be a special night.
@sommer P!nk puts on a great show (with lots of aerial acrobatics), so you would get to see a favorite band and critique the performance after 😆
@sommer I’ve done it before. I was disappointed that the band I came to see only got 30 minutes as the opener, but there were two other bands, as well.
@sommer Colors, Itchin' on a Photograph....gotta go
@sommer Seems ideal to me, I can see my favourite band and still be home by bedtime!
@sommer I've gotta work more Grouplove into my playlist rotation. Thanks for the reminder.
@sommer you can leave after the warmup act is done. Bands don't stay together forever, so go see them when you can.
