A recent surprise: Bunny Kingdom is a rare game of drafting and area control, without combat or war!
The rules are streamlined and easy to grasp, the game flows very well and I imagine it could be a good introduction to these mechanisms if the players are new to the hobby. The illustrations are pretty and there is a lot of humor both in the names and the illustrations themselves.

I'd recommend playing it with three or four players, however, because it is not half as good with two.
The draft is a lot meaner, since instead of keeping two cards you pick one and discard the other, which never has a chance to come up again. So the players keep waiting for cards to show up, which their opponent knows will not appear.
I like seeing the map fill up, knowing every card is going to get played, and I might just get the one I need. At the end of a 2p game, half the map is empty.

@Koochulainn Enjoy! Be sure to start with 3-4 if you can. In my opinion it's a lot better.
