So excited. It’s been a little over a month since I trained due to some long term injuries being worked on through physio. And I’ll be returning to indoor training on the #rower and #bicycle.

My new speed and cadence sensors should reach me this weekend which means I can finally kick the training into gear. Let’s go.

Current average speed on a hilly 200km ride was 22.1 km/h. Will document progress as I go along

#Garmin sensors have arrived! Plus the new computer since I find it safer to have the navigation on my handlebar for the longer rides on unfamiliar roads. Once they are installed, training begins.

Big sigh of relief. The sensors work. There’s no garmin service center here. Either it works or I have to go through a long reverse shipping process to get it repaired. Right. On to installing the computer

Day 1 of training begins. https://www.strava.com/activities/9422029160

Benchmark for indoor training is 24.3 km/h.

Going to be following a routine very similar to my #rowing plan which is alternating between zone 2 and sprint/interval training regularly. First week though is just all about bringing aerobic levels back up to normal

Will update this weekly

60 minute Indoor zone 2 training - Adnan I.'s 24.3 km bike ride

New sensors that work have arrived. Indoor training resumes. This is going to be for the long run. Looking ahead at improving my cycling for the next 6 months, then 2 years hopefully.
