Over the month of June Ukraine has liberated approximately 200km² the country.

This means that Russia currently occupies a total of 17.51% of Ukraine, a 0.04% decrease since the end of May.

Prior to the invasion on 24th February 2022, Russia occupied approximately 7.04% of Ukraine.

To clarify, as it has been asked elsewhere:

Of the 7.04% occupied before 2022, 4.29% is the Crimea and the other 2.75% is in the Donbas.

@warmapper wow, it wasn't clear to me that Crimea is so much bigger than the occupied parts of Donbas.
@warmapper this phase of the counter offensive is where Ukraine wanted to be 4 months ago, but the delayed delivery of long range missiles and air defense limited their ability to disrupt supply lines russia used to fortify gains in the south, those delays will cost Ukraine 1000s of lives
@warmapper Thank you very much again for all your work with these updates. I find it more useful than most of the big media reports. Cheers!
@JonOfLodi Glad to hear it! Thank you for the support 🙂
