@georgetakei The OH legislature is already trying to throw a road block in the way by holding an Aug special election (which they voted to do away with until it became convenient to bring it back) to determine how many votes it takes to modify the state constitution. The August vote is crucial now as well. Maybe it'll backfire gloriously on them.

I still feel that two amendments should be added to the Constitution.
1. Terms limits should be set for SCOTUS.
2. Ethics should be defined and adhered to.

@noah @georgetakei Doable doesn't mean easy. The key word is popular. Pour enough money into the campaign for lots of positive advertising and a good ground game. It would have been better if they had waited until 2024, but nothing stops them from trying again next year.

Everytime we have ballot measures recently, the gerrymandered supermajority passes laws weakening whatever was passed as well.
Darryl R Scott@georgetakei Politically speaking, the GOP is the rabid dog that caught the car. Dobbs radically impacts every woman in the United States, and some of those women are going to remember who did it to them in 2024. Voter turnout escalates when there's skin in the game.

There's not enough campaign money in the world to pay for such personal repeated reminders on any other issue. Republicans thinking the issue will die down or go away fail to recognize this.

It's depressing to watch how women's body autonomy is methodically being erased. As Joni Mitchell sang, "You don't know what you got 'till it's gone." I hope 2024 is a bloodbath for the GOP.

People running for democratic offices earn the votes of the majority of democrats and no single demographic can do it alone, so I think y’all need to remember you need earn my vote too and mobilize my demographic too. And running for office is not a beauty pageant, it’s a competence pageant.

Democrats need to do more and go from neighborhood and get people to vote. Specially those of us minorities and women. Sadly Latinos voted for GOP in 22compare to democrats. Please if I am mistaking let me know regarding Latinos. Specially in FL.
