1) Lin Wood's history is a long, torturous one.
His parents were alcoholics who fought violently; one day his father won and Lin came home from high school and found his mother dead. He managed to get legal rep for his father, who got 2 yrs in prison. Thus began Wood's career arc of defending the "damned."
He used to be a Dem.; then he turned religious fanatic and Trumper. His became abusive to his firm's lawyers, who sued for back-pay; estranged family tried to help him.

His most famous clients were the Ramseys and he made a lot of money for them and himself suing everyone who challenged their public attacks on various innocent people, to obscure the facts of their daughter's murder; hint: it wasn't a "foreign faction."
I think Wood's cake was baked living in extreme domestic violence as a child.
