Trump lawyer Lin Wood, who spread false election conspiracies and tried to overturn the 2020 election, has agreed to permanent retirement from the practice rather than likely disbarment.

1) Lin Wood's history is a long, torturous one.

His parents were alcoholics who fought violently; one day his father won and Lin came home from high school and found his mother dead. He managed to get legal rep for his father, who got 2 yrs in prison. Thus began Wood's career arc of defending the "damned."

He used to be a Dem.; then he turned religious fanatic and Trumper. His became abusive to his firm's lawyers, who sued for back-pay; estranged family tried to help him.

@Katrina_Hahn @georgetakei I added a couple of more posts with links that may answer some questions. He's a complex, tortured man, IMO. His most famous clients were the Ramseys and he made a lot of money for them and himself suing everyone who challenged their public attacks on various innocent people, to obscure the facts of their daughter's murder; hint: it wasn't a "foreign faction."

I think Wood's cake was baked living in extreme domestic violence as a child.
