They did it to get a different rating? Some of them are not as bad but the arm band one seems unnecessary. And the guest art is outright BS.

They did a big post about it. It’s nothing about ratings.

It doesn’t affect the game at all. Most of the people review bombing have few hours in the game and this is just the newest “woke” thing to rally against.

Thanks for the link it explains a lot while not explaining much. To a guy that doesn't have the game. I was thinking into buying it and this will make no difference onto the decision. I don't have a strong opinion of the changes really besides of what I already stated. The guest art one is the sad one IMO is like "hey remember your art we featured on our game? Well we shat on it cause It's lewd." If I were the artist I would be mad.
I think it explains their thought process pretty well. I think it’s a bit much to fully remove stuff, but it’s not some travesty to get up in arms about. If it were up to me, I’d probably keep it as it is now (after the update) by default and let there be some toggle in the options somewhere if you wanted that questionable content. Future Club was founded by former Lab Zero people after the whole Mike Z thing went down. So it’s not like complete strangers came in and decided to change it, though. And yeah, the removal of guest art is unfortunate.
The switch option would be the best route sadly it doesn't seem to be the case.
Four pieces of guest art were removed because of armbands. They didn't want to go editing that out of someone else's art, so they just couldn't keep it in the game at all.

It's not like it's been erased from the internet forever though, everything's still archived on the wiki.
Yeah is not the end of the world, IDK what the artists said about this.
@gamingonlinux it's funny seeing accounts with like 2 hours in the game complaining about it in reviews. As someone who has played and competed in the game, a good deal of the things they removed made me pretty uncomfortable.
@gamingonlinux
Wow, i had no idea of the previous scandals...

@gamingonlinux

It is always a bit offputting when things are "edited" after the fact changed in something like a digital artbook or e-book, or whatever. Even if you can argue the changes might be "good."
