"There are already federal laws that ban armed federal agents at polling stations. But since Trump owns federal law enforcement, that doesn’t matter. What this model does is recommend states pass their own laws which follow the language of those federal laws as closely as possible. When state and federal law come into conflict, federal law is supreme. But only when the federal government is acting in a constitutional and lawful capacity. Since these new state laws would only be outlawing what is already against federal law they are only outlawing actions which by definition cannot be lawful."

part of me thinks the PS5 getting *more expensive* at the end of a console generation is kind of funny. like. the tech industry got so ravenously hungry that now the flow of progress is reversing

if they keep it up long and hard enough maybe making games for outdated systems will become a necessity rather than a quirky niche thing some of us do

@SecurityWriter For some time Valve made me jump through hoops because I had a „strange email address“.

The support told me to use something like gmail. My email address is older than Valve and Google..

i'm sure repeatedly giving the next generations a virus that provably causes brain damage and letting them outsource all their learning and thinking to the slop machine will not have deleterious long term effects on civilization

@arstechnica smart TVs are exactly the opposite of what anyone needs. All you need is a dumb monitor, its only job is to display images from whatever you plug into its inputs. *maybe* some cheap built in speakers too, but that's it.
