@ben @demvoter call me old, but there’s just something about the feel of a paper book in your hands.
@ben does “kindle” include non-kindle e-ink readers?
@ben I have also read audio books on Kindle before.
@ben either kindle or paper, I don't like reading books on phone much and can't focus on audiobooks
@ben “Paper books”? What is this sorcery? 😂 @Fragglemuppet
@ben Crappie of options: Download to Calibre and read there on the desktop or in an epub reader on my phone.
@ben
Paper books, and audio only
@ben I switched over from paper books the last time I had to move.
@ben Paper with Kobo as a close second. (Sometimes shopping through Kobo, but I am a fan of side-loading from indies.)

@ben

1. Paper
2. Libby
3. Google Play Books

@ben as a zero-Amazon-er, it hurt to vote Kindle 😭 (Kobo)
@ben @dietrich a generic „e-reader” answer would probably be better
@ausir @dietrich I actually intentionally said Kindle and assumed the other reader users would tell me in the comments :)
@ben @ausir intentionally marginalized us, that's cold bro, i'm going back to Twitter
@ben the library books app
@ben I don't have my option listed here, but I don't have a Kindle, I have a Boox - Leaf 2. It's an ebook reader that allows android apps. Pretty nifty. Most of the time if possible, I prefer to read via paperbooks. It is just less distracting, but I would say - fiction mostly paperbooks, nonfiction ebooks as it allows me to highlight.
@ben @liztai for me, it started with Peanut Press, ebooks on Palm, and sticking with the ePub format, Apple Books, even all the old Peanut Press ePub books are in my library. And Calibre helps too
@jadp @ben Palm! I had one too. Boy did that device die a quick death 😜
@ben What about Ebooks that are not Kindle?
@ben you forgot "wait for the movie to come out"
