Thank you @muffinista very much for operating the instance for so long.

Thanks to the wonders of open standards / protocols, you can now continue following Intent to Ship without ever dismounting from your Mastodon:

Hi everyone! Sorry that IntentToShip broke one day after I left for 5 days completely offline at 14k feet in the Himalayas 😐 I suspect that the way that Google Groups format links in emails has changed, which broke my regex. (cue semweb folks cackling in itoldyouso eyerolls...)

How long does a web page live 🤔 >5yrs ago I asked the internet, and made some new friends: x.com/dietrich/sta... After a multi-year research collab with @archive.org, ODU and Filecoin Fdn... (largest study like this ever done) ... we have results! tldr: It's bad. www.fil.org/blog/the-web...

What's the average lifespan of a web page? I found loads of references to the 2011 @librarycongress article that says 100 days... Except it doesn't say that! It says references a study in *2003* which concluded that. https://t.co/RWf8gQr8pP

The #AppleBrowserBan has ended in Japan! 🇯🇵🎉🍾

We'd like to say a huge thank-you to the HDMC and the JFTC for helping ensure browsers can compete fairly, and so web apps can contest the gatekeeper's native app ecosystems.

OWA is looking forward to helping contribute towards monitoring compliance and helping provide information for effective enforcement.

The truth is that @openprivacy and the @cwtch team could disappear tomorrow, and Cwtch would continue to work just fine - people could continue to augment the clients and protocol with new capabilities.|

Cwtch is an example of p2p metadata resistant decentralized comms, but there are others.

This tech exists, and people use it. The security of already released versions can only be impacted by mathematical reality - nothing more.
