The truth is that @openprivacy and the @cwtch team could disappear tomorrow, and Cwtch would continue to work just fine - people could continue to augment the clients and protocol with new capabilities.|
Cwtch is an example of p2p metadata resistant decentralized comms, but there are others.
This tech exists, and people use it. The security of already released versions can only be impacted by mathematical reality - nothing more.
