It takes creative genius to convince & develop such a cover & it’s a testament to the magazine’s roll call of great Art Editors (in the case Wendy Harrop) & Richard Davies (who was responsible for the cover).
This looks as good today as when it was fresh on the newsstand…

Kevin A@stuffaboutcars @thecarfactoids I still have that very issue along with several others of the era. They are an absolute joy to read even if you have very little interest in cars. The publisher should make the archive widely available. It’s a goldmine.

@thecarfactoids Thank you! I wanted to be a fashion magazine art director as a youngster. To get there I had to create my own! Itʼs always nice to know I need no approval from the publisher since I do that, too!
