Learning all sorts of little things about naming in Zelda from Nob and Daikichi.

Josha, the Shiekah assistant, is named じょしゅあ (joshua) because it literally means “assistant.”

The Rito species is the reverse of とり (tori) which means “bird.”

How about the Zora royalty? The Japanese musical scale is ドレミファソラシド (do re mi fa so ra shi do). So there’s Dore, Mifa, Sora, and Shido …or Dorephan, Mipha, Zora, and Sidon.

@jackamick I don't know that one! But these new ones have a different linguistic flavor than the prequel.
